The library provides a general framework for simulating the flow and pressure distribution along a pipe network including the hydraulic components (e.g., valves, pumps, etc.) and the pipes (e.g., material, shape, etc.). It contains a set of generic and non-generic subclasses for the hydraulic components and the pipes, and a set of solution engines that are executed for each combination of hydraulic components and pipe segments.
A typical flow problem consists of the determination of the flow distribution along a pipe network for a given pressure distribution. The CWSNet library implements solution methods to solve this problem, where the flow solutions are based on a pressure-driven approach and a solution to the steady-state incompressible Navier-Stokes equation, with or without wall boundaries.
The library is completely modular and can be easily extended by adding new hydraulic elements, pipes and solution engines.
The library also contains a set of custom numerical methods that can be used as additional solution engines, together with pre-defined solution methods that can be used directly. All the custom numerical methods for the solution of the steady-state incompressible Navier-Stokes equation can also be used to solve the dynamic equation, provided that the steady-state incompressible Navier-Stokes equation is solved for each time step.
The CWSNet library is written in a modular OOP design where each part is developed and tested separately before being integrated in the library.

Equalizer is a software for generating simple nonlinear transfer functions.

The underlying algorithm is implemented using the segmentation and control approach.
It relies on two alternative procedures: smoothing and interpolation, which are applied to the input signal in order to optimize a user-defined criterion.
This implies that the resulting procedure is nonlinear and non-decreasing, which implies that it has very good shape matching properties.
If the input signal is defined as a piecewise-smooth curve, the software is capable of fitting the curve with a piecewise-linear approximation and it also provides the possibility of smoothing the transition regions of the piecewise-linear approximation.
In addition, Equalizer makes use of an algorithm for piecewise polynomial approximation, which enables the fitting of any kind of piecewise-polynomial curve.

CWSNet was written and released by the CINVESTAV water and sewer research centre.
It is a library that computes the flow and pressure through a hydraulic system (pipe network) using a numerical model that simulates the hydraulics of the fluid within the pipe.
The objective is to simulate the hydraulic system, to generate and print graphics for further study, to improve it and to create a completely new model for the hydraulic system.
The library is built in C++ using an object-oriented programming (OOP) model.
The hydraulic system model is based on an ADAMS (ADvanced Mass
Balance Simulator) solver, which is a commercial solver based on the Fluidity
solver. This is a solution of the ADvanced Mass Balance Equations (AMB) for incompressible fluids using the finite volume method.
The CWSNet is based on the Java virtual machine, making it platform-independent, portable and easy to integrate with other tools.

CWSNet is a modular library which can be used to simulate networks of pipes under pressure.
The library implements a hybrid fluid-structure interaction approach and simulates the deformations of the pipe network during pressurization.
This approach integrates a deformable mesh into a static structural network.
When the network is pressurized, a coupling is introduced between the deformable mesh and the static structure to simulate the deformation of the deformable mesh as a result of the pressure in the network.
This allows the structural network to perform the load bearing actions and keeps the deformable mesh only deforming while saving computational time.
