If Firefox is your go-to web browser, you're probably interested in a way of writing down notes quickly while surfing the web, without having to resort to a feature-rich and resource-demanding addon.
Persistent Firefox notes with autosave
Freshly released by Mozilla as part of the Test Pilot project, Firefox Notes proposes a simple and elegant solution for making this happen. It gets installed in the sidebar, remains visible throughout the entire browsing session, and doesn't ask you to click a button to save notes because it does this in real time.
To be able to set it up, you must first install Test Pilot, which gives you access to all experiments that Firefox is currently working on. A brief tutorial is shown at startup, demonstrating what you can do with Firefox Notes.
Standard text formatting options
Because the project was recently released, it doesn't offer much at the moment. However, the Mozilla team welcomes feedback with suggestions. A simple, black and white notepad is displayed in a sidebar on the left side of the browser, which follows you on every visited page until the extension is disabled or hidden.
You don't have to worry about saving the notes as you make your way through various pages because this is done automatically. As far as settings are concerned, only basic text formatting options are available, making it possible to increase or decrease the font size, emphasize text with bold, italic and strikethrough effects, as well as create numbered or bullet lists. Keyboard shortcuts can be activated for these commands.
Practical note addon for Firefox users
There's also a note syncing option visible on the bottom side but it hasn't been implemented yet. We're assuming that it will be able to sync notes across all devices connected with a Firefox account.
It worked smoothly in our tests and didn't slow down Firefox at all. Considering that the Firefox Add-ons collection is filled with numerous notepad extensions that have too many unnecessary options, we think that Firefox Notes is welcomed by anyone who prefers speed and simplicity. Its key features are represented by the persistent sidebar and autosave.

If you’re a Final Fantasy fan and have been waiting for that FF7 remake (or remaster, which by all accounts is closer to a remaster than a remake) release date to turn up, then make sure you start planning for December 6th.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake was first announced with a pre-alpha demonstration back in 2011, then an early access in 2012 and an early access beta in 2014. Square Enix has continued to work on the game up until now. This means that we will finally get to experience the title when it launches in December.
From the brief trailer shown by the development team last year, it did feel like a significant difference from the original Final Fantasy VII. The graphics look beautiful and there’s a lot of attention to detail. It was hard to get through the 10 minutes of gameplay without getting emotional as I saw my favourite memories come to life.
While the previous remakes of Final Fantasy 1, 2 and 5 have come out after the originals were remade, the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released at the same time as the original game. Square Enix has already made a digital copy available for the original Final Fantasy VII that you can get right now.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is an action RPG game set in the near future. Players will play as former SOLDIER/Ally Locke, Tifa, Aerith, Cloud and the AVALANCHE.

I think it’s a very well-made add-on and very easy to use. Just one thing that I found was the start-up and the speed. It’s not very smooth at the beginning. Maybe if you try it, it might be better. I think you’ve probably been working with add-ons for a long time, and I know I’m not a Firefox-user, but I did’nt think it was that hard to start.

I think this extension can be another thing to learn for the average user and of course i think it will be a great replacement for the simple notepad that we already have in the addon manager of firefox. I like the idea of being able to personalize it a little bit more, but i think it needs to add some features like an edit function for the article or a extension to change the size or spacing of the text of the note. I also think that the demo version is very small because it seems like a fully functioning extension, or it needs to add some features to it. Either way, i think it needs a more detailed explanation in terms of functionality so that users don’t get confused.

Although many people within the music industry were aware of the rampant sexual abuse that took place at the Sony Building, most are quick to say that they were not aware of the magnitude of the problem. Is this because they were ignorant of the fact that there was rampant sexual abuse taking place, or because they want to protect the truly guilty parties?
In the aftermath of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, music critics and industry insiders are examining the reasons that contributed to Hollywood’s gender gap. Singer and songwriter Sheryl Crow told NPR on Sunday that the “troubling pattern” of sexual harassment took place without “the full knowledge of the general public or the victims.”
Crow says that these instances of sexual assault are part of a larger problem that has haunted the film industry for decades.
“I think that there’s been, you know, out of many horrible things that we as a society just didn’t really see or even think about as being the norm,” she told NPR.
However, the problem has existed for much longer than Crow. Actor Ed Westwick says that his friends in Hollywood were aware of sexual misconduct taking place while working in the entertainment industry.
“If you spoke to people in the industry in the last 10 years, they will tell you that that kind of behaviour was widespread,” Westwick told The Sunday Times. “It’s a sign of the nature of the industry: it’s a very incestuous place. Everyone knows everyone and they know when it’s going on. There’s always been this sort of predatory nature about it.”
Ralph Lee was also aware of sexual misconduct taking place at the Sony Building in 1980. Lee and his band Journey were working as MTV News’ “Journey Behind The Scenes” hosts when he says he was approached by an aspiring actress who was looking for a job. Lee said that after the meeting, he would hear rumors of sexual misconduct for over 10 years.
“People were complaining on the record, but there was just this undercurrent of people not saying it because they thought it was politically incorrect or that they’d be blackballed,” Lee said.
However, neither The Weinstein Company nor Fox Family Television, which distributed the series, have addressed how they would address the allegations of sexual abuse that occurred during the course of production.
